What is Rural Development Park?
Rural Development Park (RDP) is a new Career Tech Academy that launched in the fall of 2025. RDP is a partnership with Calhoun Community College to offer Morgan County Students the opportunity to earn their high school diploma AND a license or credential to take them directly to the workforce after graduation. Program offerings are available in both medical and machining, and students will dual enroll through Calhoun Community College to earn these certifications.
These areas of study include:
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Advanced EMT (AEMT)
- Medical Lab Assistant and Phlebotomy
- Physical Therapy Tech
- Pre-Nursing
- Pre-Dental
- Surgical Tech- Sterile Processor
- LPN
- Dental Assistant
- Aerospace Technology I and II
- Machine Tool Technology I and II
These courses are offered to juniors and seniors from all Morgan County high schools and Hartselle City Schools. The best news…the tuition for these programs is 100% free to our students.
