Physical Therapy Technician

Physical Therapy Technician

Students are trained to support physical therapists in clinics, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities by assisting with patient care, preparing treatment areas, performing clerical duties, and helping patients complete therapeutic exercises under supervision. The program includes instruction in anatomy and physiology related to movement and injury, medical terminology, and professional healthcare practices, along with hands-on exposure to physical therapy environments. Students develop communication, empathy, and patient interaction skills essential for working in rehabilitation settings and are prepared to take the Physical Therapy Technician/Aide Certification (PTTC) exam.
