Machine Tool Technology I

Summary 

Students learn foundational machining skills, including operating machine tools, reading blueprints, using precision measuring instruments, and manufacturing precision parts to exact specifications. The program provides hands-on training in mathematics, materials, cutting tools, and machining processes while preparing students for industry certifications and entry-level careers in machining and advanced manufacturing.

Classes 

Recommended Four Year Plan:

9th: English 9, Geometry, Biology, World History, Career Prep, Physical Education Elective, Elective

10th: English 10, Algebra 1, Physical Science, US History 10, Health and Driver’s Ed, Elective

Elective / Summer: Only if needed

11th: English 11, Algebra 2, Science, US History 11, Fine Art Elective (Fall), Humanities Elective (Spring), ORI 110, at the RDP- 2 Periods / Summer: Eligible to take MTT Courses

12th: English 101, MTH 103, BIO 103, Government and Economics, at the RDP- 2 Periods / MTT evening classes at Calhoun to finish the two year degree by May.
